जेएनवी, रंगिया की स्थापना 23 अगस्त 1994 को हुई थी। जेएनवी रंगिया ब्रह्मपुत्र नदी के उत्तर में स्थित ग्राम हरियाडाब,
पीओ- जामटोला में स्थित है। राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग से दूरी 9 KM है। विद्यालय ट्रेन मार्ग से अच्छी तरह से जुड़ा हुआ है,
रंगिया रेलवे जंक्शन विद्यालय से 07 किलोमीटर दूर है। विद्यालय से गुवाहाटी हवाई अड्डे की दूरी लगभग 70 KM है।
स्कूल परिसर में लगभग 30 एकड़ का जंगल है। इन इमारतों में छात्र छात्रावास और स्टाफ हाउस शामिल हैं।
