JNV, Rangia was established on 23rd August 1994. JNV Rangia is Situated at the north of the River Brahmaputra at the Village Hariandab, PO- Jamtola. The distance from the national highway is alomost 9 KM. The Vidyalaya is well connected with the train route, the Rangia Railway junction is alomst 07 KM from the vidyalaya. The distance of Guwahati Airport from the Vidyalaya is around 70 KM. The school campus covers around 30 acres of forested with its buildings. These buildings include the student hostels and staff houses.
