Biology Laboratory
The biology laboratory provides broad range of biological and biochemical techniques with in-depth practical training offered by experienced staff. Important routine work is on microbial and molecular analyses and biological sample preparation in general. Several special applications, such as respiration experiments, enzyme kinetics, sterile culturing of microalgae, morphological taxonomic determination of fish larvae, or fatty acid sample preparation to characterize the nutritional status and composition of marine plankton. All these techniques ground on long standing expertise and a well-equipped facility (high precision scale, photometers, Fast Prep, Casey Cell counter and more). In addition to the basic tasks such as providing bench space or experimental setups in the constant temperature room, the biological laboratories offers some specialized working areas.

Our chemistry lab is well equipped with chemicals and other apparatus to cater to the needs of all the students up to class 12. Students start using the chemistry lab from class 6 onwards. They show great enthusiasm in using chemicals and perform hands on experiments. An additional advantage of our lab is an smart board with real and animated versions of different experiments. It is also supported by a virtual lab which is used to conduct experiments on the board and observe the reactions. The virtual lab also provides animations of chemical reactions at the molecular level. The lab has an excellent safety system with fire extinguishers. |

A well furnished Samsung Smart Lab equipped with highspeed internet and 40nos. of laptops are available for students and staffs for seamless study and exploration. Samsung Smart Class supplements regular lessons in mathematics, science and social science to explain concepts in an engaging and interactive manner. Now, many teachers have started preparing their own digital course material, so that students get a better grasp of all subjects. The digital environment in Samsungs Smart Class not only helps students learn complicated concepts easily, but also encourages them to participate in classroom discussions. |
