1.Teacher Training: Workshops are being organized regularly to train teachers to incorporate ICT in effective teaching. In these workshops, teachers were trained to use interactive boards/LEDs, laptops equipped with latest operating systems like Windows 8 and Linux-Ubuntu and tablets. Teachers were also trained to use various quality resources available on the internet like NROER, CIET, NCERT; To enrich their content to make their teaching more qualitative. A User ID has already been created for each teacher at NROER for free access to share useful resources in the national level repository.
2.Smart Learning for Students: Smart Learning Tool (Software Package) containing study material as per CBSE syllabus has been installed in Smart Class Room and through this, students of classes VI to X are being taught. The software package includes comprehensive educational resources related to CBSE syllabus along with question-answer database. A separate time-table has also been prepared for its effective implementation.
3.ICT integration and enhancement of quality of education: Speaking and Listening Assessment (ASL) for CBSE class 9th and 10+1 is being facilitated through FOSS i.e. Audacity; Since students as well as language teachers have been trained to use the tool. Teachers are using online educational resources to optimum level to enhance the quality of knowledge dissemination by involving multi-media (text, images, audio and video) to meet the need of teaching learning process for greater effectiveness. Facility of ICT tools is being provided for preparation of projects of various subjects for cluster as well as regional level exhibitions. The requisite exposure to the Internet has been provided to the students to access the High Order Thinking (HOTs) question bank on the relevant subjects. Students are also encouraged to take online exams to consolidate the concepts learned.
